47 year old Free runner never gives up

Tim Shieff aka Livewire, meets and trains with Beau Kendall, a 47 year old free runner from the UK. This video is an amazing insight in the world of a man who still feels young and actually looks and moves like that. He is performing some mind-blowing moves and handles drops like a champ. After seeing this clip you can only ask one question: What’s your excuse for not training?

Check out this truly inspirational video, that shows age does not matter when you’re practicing Parkour.

Now go out and train some more!

Hello Dan, normally I don’t write or leave messages but today I feel compelled to. I’m a martial artist, guitarist, enjoy indoor rock climbing, and also last but not the least Parkour. I turned 46 this year, and started training in Parkour at 45. Recently I have been hearing that little voice in the back of my head saying, ” you’re too old for this”, or ”why are you doing this ?” and so forth. Today I read Parkour journal #4 : About giving up, and watched the video, The 47 year old Freerunner. All I have to say is, Thank you so much for posting this material! It has encouraged and lifted my spirits. Letting me know that I am not to old to be doing Parkour or for that matter any other goal that I set for myself, and that I am not alone. Again thank you Dan!

      Hi Devanand,

I’m glad you found your inner motivation to go on. Stopping would be a mistake, both physically and mentally. As you might advance in your training and your age it is good to take into consideration moderating your training, but stopping would be the last thing you’ll want.

      Train safe!
